What is Mouth Cancer (Oral Cancer) ?
Oral cancer appears as a growth or sore in the mouth that does not go away. About 50,000 people in the Mouth cancer, also known as oral cancer, is a type of head and neck cancer that affects the mouth, including the lips, tongue, gums, cheeks, and the roof or floor of the mouth. It is a serious condition that can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. Oral cancer appears as a growth or sore in the mouth that does not go away. About 50,000 people in the U.S. get oral cancer each year, 70% of them men. Oral cancer includes cancers of the lips, tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, hard and soft palate, sinuses, and pharynx (throat)

SYMPTOMS
• A sore, lump, or ulcer on the lip or in the mouth that does not heal.
• A red or white patch on the gums, tongue, or lining of the mouth.
• Pain, numbness, or tenderness in the mouth, lips, or tongue.
